Draft Completed, Fall 08 begins Sunday
There is no rest for the fans and players as the Fall 2008 draft took place Sunday and the new season is set to begin July 6.

Brooklyn Wins . . . Manager Hospitalized
Brooklyn and Vero Beach squared off in the Spring 08 championship game on Sunday and DTW's verison of "dem bums" . . . Brooklyn . . . came out on top besting Vero 6 to 1. Following the game, Manager Doug Yount was hospitalized wth complaints of abdominal pains.

2nd Annual "Survivor Banner Island"
"Survivor Banner Island" Fantasy Baseball Tournament from September 26-28. Every team will get at least one game at Banner Island Ballpark which is the new home of the Oakland A's Single A minor league affiliate Stockton Ports. Every team will get at least one game at the historic Billy Hebert Field, the former home of the Ports until they moved in 2005.
